Alladvantage is the oldest and most reliable of all Paid To Surf programs. They where the first of their kind on the Internet and are today also the largest, with 5 million members. They pay you for the time you spend online using the Viewbar. The Viewbar does not require the surfer to change the way that they surf the web, it does not get it in the way, it simply sits at the bottom of the screen and allows the surfer to make money.

Company Details

Founded by Jim Jorgensen (of Discovery Zone fame), AllAdvantage were the first and are still the leading paid to surf company. As of March 2000, they have over 6 million members worldwide, managed by 400 employees.

With a recent (Feb) capital injection of $100 million dollars, and with a planned stock-market flotation, AllAdvantage is the fastest growing Internet company in history, and one of the top 20 most visited sites on the net.

Monthly, they pay out $5 million to members and deliver several billion adverts through the Viewbar.

Anybody can join, and the list of countries in which they currently pay members is growing rapidly: US, UK, Canada and several other leading nations, with many other countries following later this year. The AA Global strategy plan gives an excellent indication of which countries will be activated this year.

AdBar

Called the Viewbar, the software is an easy 1-click 10 minute download (1.5Mb). The minimum resolution needed to run the bar is 800x600, although I highly recommend (and this applies for any adbar) setting your resolution to 1024x768 if possible.

You have to be actively browsing the internet for the time to count as payable. If there is no activity for 2-3 minutes, the "activity light" turns red, signaling that you are not currently making money. Also, if another program is on top of your web browser, the light turns red. You don't have to click on ads to get paid.

Payment Plan

You get paid whenever you surf the net with the bar open (you control the bar fully and can quit/minimise it at any time), and payment is made by cheque in your own countries currency. To keep costs down, they pay you monthly as long as your account is over $20, otherwise this amount is rolled forward to the next month.

Currently there is a limit of 25 hours per month you can use the Viewbar. If you refer others you also get paid whenever they are online, as shown in the table below:

There is no limit as to how many referrals you can have in your referral network, or how much you could potentially earn.

Site Quality

Recently (1st Feb) in anticipation of the new release of the Viewbar, the website has undergone a slight transformation, making it more easy for visitors to navigate, thus giving a more consistent feel.

Member Stats

Your account page lists how many direct and indirect referrals you have, amount to be paid for last month, personal hours logged, your direct referrals hours, and indirects hours surfed. The stats are updated every couple of hours, including how much you have earned.

Member Support

With over 5 million members, it usually means waiting 5 days for an actual human reply to a question, and usually it is a cut-n-paste job, referring you to their (admittedly) comprehensive faq's on the website. Member support is an area that AllAdvantage need to take a closer look at, considering how many people they employ.

Other features:

When you reach 20 referrals you become an A+ member. At the moment there isn't much in the A+ section of the website, with the only 'useful' item being the list of top 50 AA referrers. There are plans to improve the area, and currently they are working on a chat/forum feature, but ultimately it will be down to members input to determine whether A+ is a worthwhile venture.

AllAdvantage's Advantages

AllAdvantage.com is the company who invented the "Get Paid to Surf the Web" concept, and the biggest by far. AllAdvantage has many features which set it apart from its competitors, of which the most important is the quality of their service. Everything from how the ViewBar works to the online "Cash Statement" where you can view how much money you have made. It all seems to be better than the competitors.

And since AllAdvantage is so large you can be sure they will be around 10 years from now. Another thing is that you can download the ViewBar the instant you sign up for the service. You don't have to wait weeks or months like you have to with many other companies. The whole company is done very well and we guarantee you won't be disappointed with AllAdvantage.

AllAdvantage's Disadvantages

As of right now AllAdvantage will only pay you for the first 25 hours you spend on the Internet per month. Besides this there is no reason you shouldn't sign up with them. Another thing is you only get paid for the amount of hours you surf. So if you surf for 10 hours, and one of your direct referrals surfs for 25, you will only get paid for 10 of your referrals hours.

The Bottom Line

AllAdvantage< is the biggest Pay-to-Surf company, period. They have the best service and pay a good amount for your referrals. If you plan on only signing up with one or two Pay-to-Surf companies, AllAdvantage should definitely be one of them.

If you plan on making a lots of referrals you want to make sure you get your maximum amount of surfing hours in each month. Otherwise you won't get paid as much as you potentially could!

But take our recommendation and sign up for AllAdvantage now. Its the newest, hottest thing on the Internet and the sooner you sign up the more money you will make.
