How can they afford that?
It seems like an awful lot of money going out. How can AllAdvantage
afford to pay everyone so much?
First, let's figure out how much they make. (I do not have their
business plan, and don't know for sure that this is exact, but the
concept is so basic. I have been working with the Internet
since the days before Yahoo and Banner Ads and have researched and
tracked Ad rates from the beginning.)
The Viewbar will hold at least one banner ad. Each ad should be
priced at the average rate of 3.5 cents each. Let's just say
$.03 to make the math easy.
- Banner Ads cost $.03
- 60 banner ads an hour
The banner ads will rotate, probably every minute. So it's
likely you will have 60 little ads show up on your Viewbar every
hour. Each time they show, an advertiser has paid 3 cents.
- 60 ads X $.03 = $1.80
This calculation does not take into consideration Click-thrus
( which could be $.10 or more) or the fact that they may be able
to charge more than the average because of it's potential of direct
targeting.
Now, let's figure out how much AllAdvantage has to pay you.
When you log onto the internet and open your Viewbar, AllAdvantage
keeps track. They now have to pay up. The cost to them
for an hour?

$.50 goes to you.

$.10 goes to the person who referred you.

$.05 goes to the person who referred 'B'

$.05 goes to the person who referred 'C'

$.05 goes to the person who referred 'D'

$.05 goes to the person who referred 'E'.
The total costs: $.50+.10+.05+.05+.05+.05= $.80
If they collected at least $1.80, then they still have $1 after
paying us our $.80 ( $1.80 - .80 = $1). And this is all advertising
dollars that has been being spent all along by companies. You're
just getting a piece of it now.

What if I'm on webtv?
Don't worry, we got you covered. If you are a webtv user, most
likely you're aware that downloading is not possible with webtv.
Thus meaning, the viewbars will not function with a webtv. Don't
worry though, there are still many programs which will work with
webtv. Goto the webtv version of our site, for we have compiled
a complete list with programs that are webtv compatible.
When can I start to make money?
It depends on the company. Some companies like AllAdvantage and
GotoWorld will release the viewbar software right when you signup.
Other companies take a week or two before they give you the software.
And of course, some even take months, ePIPO for example :) Even
if the software is not ready to download, you can still refer people
to signup for the company. It gives you some time to build a downline.
How do I make more?
You can get paid if you refer friends, family and other internet
users. Getting in early on a program is a good idea. Get a few people
to signup under you, it could result in a lot of extra monies. If
your a webmaster, you have a real advantage. Many webmasters are
able to get thousands of referrals within a few months. Anyone can
get referrals. They're also they key to making big money with paid
to surf.
Is this a scam?
Absolutely not. Members of these programs have already begun receiving
checks. All the money comes from advertisers. You are being paid
for you time and attention plus your efforts in getting others to
become members too.
What is Paid to Surf?
Paid to Surf is simply a method where you are paid to have an advertising
banner on your computer screen while on-line. There is no cost or
obligation, it's completely free. These programs simply pay you
for allowing them to place an ad on your screen. Yes you will make
more money if you do bring others into the program, but it is not
a requirement.
What if I live outside of the U.S.?
Most of the companies pay to members living outside of the U.S.
Not all do so check the F.A.Q.S. section of the company first before
signing up.
What is the best way to make referrals?
Make a website and advertise it as much as possible. If you don't
feel like building your own website check out Maxref.com or Refmaker.com
What if I'm under 18?
Not all companies pay members under 18 but most do. To be certain,
when signing up and they ask you for your birthdate, just enter
a year 1980 or below.
Is this legal?
Yes this is legal and you cannot get in any kind of trouble with
the law.
Can more than one person sign up from the same household?
Very few companies allow more than one person per household. You
should check this in their faqs section first.
What is this going to cost me?
Nothing. ALL companies are absolutely FREE AND RISK FREE.
Why are there so many companies?
This is a VERY money making business. If everything goes well for
the founder he/she can make millions monthly.
How do these companies make any money?
When you are using their software you are seeing adverts on your
screen which you are getting paid for. Actually they are receiving
money from advertisers, of which they pass on some to you. If you
imagine a company with millions of members... they must be making
a helluva a lot!
Can I run different view bars on my desktop at once?
Yes you can. So far I have found no problems with doing this. If
you have a sizeable monitor running at a high resolution this is
an ideal way to earn even more.
What if I want to quit?
Thats no problem. They say all you have to do is e-mail them. But
you really don't even need to do that. Just stop. But why would
you want to ;)
What are the anti-spam policies?
Don't do it. That's the synopsis of most of the policies. For those
new to the net, spamming is sending unsolicited, unauthorized e-mails
or newsgroup messages to people you don't know. Basically spamming
is the internets equivalent to junk mail. You can read more info
on this when you sign up.
Are there any specific rules or restrictions?
No spamming. One account per person. No "fake surfing." Also some
require that you be at least 18 and have a valid mailing address.
When can I start to make money?
It depends on the company. Right now, as of March 5, 2000 about
10 or so companies have their Adbars out. However, even though some
of the companies aren't ready yet, you can still sign up, and start
recommending friends. In fact it's recommended you do so. The sooner
you start, the more people you'll be able to sign up.
Is this for real?
Yes, very much so. I'm making over $500 per month from several
of these companies. Basically companies are fighting for your e-business.
Just as with any other forum (TV, radio, newspaper), they are willing
to pay to get their ads placed where they'll get your attention.
Just think how much they shell out for super bowl games!
How can these companies afford to pay me for just looking at ads
The answer is simple: The companies give you a cut of their advertising
revenue. After all, without you viewing the ads, they wouldn't have
an audience for their advertisers. And without an audience, they
wouldn't be able to sell any advertising at all!
Is it really that easy?

Should I sign up now?
Absolutely! Some of the companies have their advertising software
available to download right now! The rest of the companies are releasing
their software on a first come, first serve basis. So the sooner
you sign up, the sooner you can start to make money for surfing
the web.
Which companies should I join?
It's up to you. The direct payouts of one company will look good
to some people, while the referral payouts of another company may
appeal to others. To help you make a good decision, we have compiled
